Did you know that farmers and ranchers, processors and other agriculture-related businesses employ over 66,000 people and represent about 14% of Utah’s economy?

Yet, working farmers and ranchers are struggling to make a living. Nowadays, many children of working farmers are simply choosing other occupations.

This could prove disastrous for many of Utah’s rural communities. And since the economies of rural and urban communities are connected, what hurts rural communities eventually impacts everyone.
